Narragansett Win Evens Series at 1
|
The Narragansett Seagulls took down the Camden Consigliere by the score of 4-2 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Divisional. The largest share of the credit belongs to Narragansett starter Jaime Encarnación, who threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball.
Narragansett used the hitting of Jake Francis to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Seagulls on top, 3-0. For the game, Francis had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We're happy," Francis told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."
Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Narragansett Stadium in Narragansett.
