Road Win Lifts Red Deer to 2-1 Lead in R1
|
The Red Deer Kings got an exceptional performance from starter José Casarravias, who silenced the Brampton offense en route to a 4-0 shutout win in Game 3 of the Wild Card. The Camels could never get a bead on the right-handed Casarravias, who threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball. The Kings now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 series.
Casarravias pitched a complete game for Red Deer. The right-hander, who calls San Pablo Tacachico, El Salvador, his home, racked up 11 Ks, while allowing just 3 hits. Camels hitters could not touch his fastball -- nor any other pitch, for that matter.
Casarravias said his team "executed a good game plan."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Brampton in Toronto.
