Aruba Nets 3-2 Win Versus Flying Fish
|
The Aruba Wahoos took Bridgetown pitcher Esteban Valades's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Fish Bowl. The final score had Aruba getting past the Flying Fish, 3-2. Valades went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 4. Aruba is in third place in the Intercontinental Baseball Coalition Paradise League with a record of 38-37.
Aruba got a clutch hit from Héctor Rosales. The left fielder socked a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was game-ender.
Rosales attributed the win to his team's "tenacity."
