The Den Bosch Dykes got an exceptional performance from starter Tommy Atkins, who silenced the Beaufort offense en route to a 3-0 shutout win in Game 2 of the Divisional. The Loggerdoggers could never get a bead on the left-handed Atkins, who threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. The Dykes now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Atkins delivered a quality start for Den Bosch. The 6-foot-5 left-hander allowed no earned runs on 4 hits over 8 innings of work.

"Tommy pitched his heart out," said Den Bosch manager Hisanobu Ono.
