DeSoto Central HS Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R4
The DeSoto Central HS Panthers got a strong performance from pitcher Freddy Sabastro, who stymied the visiting Tumwater HS Thunderhawks en route to a win, 5-1, in Game 3 of the Round 4. The Thunderhawks could never get a bead on the right-handed Sabastro, who threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. The Panthers now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Ricardo Espinoza chipped in a 2-run home run for DeSoto Central HS in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.

Espinoza called the win "an overall solid one."
