Thunderhawks Hammered by Kelley, Drop Game 2 to Panthers
DeSoto Central HS designated hitter Ron Kelley was the difference-maker for the Panthers in what turned into a shootout with the Tumwater HS Thunderhawks. Kelley earned accolades after going 4-for-5 in the 4-1 Panthers win. With the victory, the Panthers moved into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Steven Randel had a direct impact on the outcome. Randel contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put DeSoto Central HS up, 3-1.

"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Tumwater HS manager Fausto Navarro. "We had our chances and didn't cash in."

The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, May 27th , 2042 at DeSoto Central Grounds in Southaven.
