Almost There: Eton On Cusp of R3 Triumph After 8-5 Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of catcher Jacob Kyrle, the Eton Rifles got a road win against the Montego Bay HS Mariners, 8-5, in Game 4 of the Round 3. Kyrle went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5 for the Rifles, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

In the top of the first, Kyrle pounced on a 1-0 fastball from Graeme Culshaw and hit a 2-run home run. It put Eton on top, 2-0.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Kyrle told the Eton Herald. "It's as simple as that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mariners Ballpark in Montego Bay.
