Eton Holds at Home in Series Opener
The Eton Rifles faced a tough opponent in Montego Bay HS Mariners designated hitter Vic Tofield, but did just enough to pull out a win in Game 1 of the Round 3, which they now lead 1-0. The Rifles won, 6-5, at Rifles Ballpark, despite the efforts of Tofield, who went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.

Jacob Kyrle had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for the Rifles. Coming up with the bases loaded and Eton trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run double.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Kyrle told the Eton Herald.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Rifles Ballpark in London.
