Almost There: Taitung HS On Cusp of R3 Triumph After 5-4 Win
Despite a great performance by Dunedin HS left fielder Alan Hodge, the Taitung HS Hermits defeated the Scots by the score of 5-4 at Taitung Ballpark. Hodge was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2, but he could not prevent the Hermits from moving one game closer to the Round 4. Taitung HS now leads the Round 3 3-1.

Yi-mou Jia dealt the Scots a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Taitung HS leading 4-2, Jia hit a 2-2 sinker for a run-scoring single.

"We're happy," Jia told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Taitung Ballpark in Taitung.
