Raucous Ballpark of the Torchbearers Crowd Propels Torchbearers to 2-1 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The Sprague HS Torchbearers and the Horizon HS Huskies will take the Round 3 to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Torchbearers beat the Huskies, 2-1, at Ballpark of the Torchbearers to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Sprague HS left-hander Brendan Evans had a big role in the win. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball.

Trent Ladner drew 1 walk in 3 trips to the plate against the Huskies. In the bottom of the first inning, he grounded out, driving in 1 run, putting Sprague HS in front, 1-0.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Sprague HS manager Lorenzo Castro told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of the Torchbearers in Salem.
