Rifles Even With Spaniards After Extra-Innings Win
Handed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the Round 2, the San Felipe HS Spaniards could not close the deal.

Game 4 went into extra frames and the Eton Rifles emerged victorious, taking a 12-inning, 9-6 win. Eton designated hitter Rhys Crosse was 3 for 6 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk in the win at Spaniards Ballpark to drag the Rifles back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.

Eton won the game in part because of Jacob Kyrle. The catcher ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Rifles ahead, 8-6. For the game, Kyrle had 1 double and 1 home run in 7 at-bats.

"I'm proud to wear a Eton jersey," Crosse told the Eton Herald. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Spaniards Ballpark in Puerto Plata.
