San Felipe HS Win Knots Series at 1
|
The San Felipe HS Spaniards knotted up the Round 2 at Rifles Ballpark, thanks in large part to first baseman Raúl Morales. Morales went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 as he overpowered the Eton Rifles, enabling San Felipe HS to grab the 5-1 win and move into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.
With San Felipe HS leading 1-0 in the top of the sixth, Juan Zumaya hit a run-scoring single off Eton pitcher Nicky Dering. It put the Spaniards ahead 2-0.
Morales told a San Felipe HS Bulletin reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
The next game is set to be played for Saturday, May 10th , 2042 at Spaniards Ballpark in Puerto Plata.
