Montego Bay HS Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R2
|
The Montego Bay HS Mariners got a strong performance from pitcher Graeme Underhay, who stymied the Hoorn offense en route to a 2-0 win in Game 3 of the Round 2. The Schooners could never get a bead on the right-handed Underhay, who threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The Mariners now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
Underhay gave Montego Bay HS a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 6.1 innings.
Afterward, Hoorn manager Thomas Gordon said: "We've hit a rough patch."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mariners Ballpark in Montego Bay.
