In a crucial game, the Wilson Classical HS Bruins put on their best show, beating the Mankato West HS Reds by a final score of 2-1. Jim Kessler threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. Wilson Classical HS and Mankato West HS are now tied at 2 wins apiece in the best-of-7 affair.

The decisive blow was delivered by Nathan Scott in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 18-year old right-handed pitcher James Miller to win the game for Wilson Classical HS. The home crowd went nuts.

"What a buzz," said Scott after it was over.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bruins Ballpark in Long Beach.
