Thunderhawks Tie Series With Lookouts After 2-0 Win
|
The Tumwater HS Thunderhawks and the Billings West HS Lookouts will take the Round 2 to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation, the Thunderhawks shut out the Lookouts, 2-0, at Ballpark at Billings to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Tumwater HS left-hander Javier Trujillo did his part. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball.
Tumwater HS used the clutch hitting of Ken Waddell to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Thunderhawks the lead, 2-0. For the game, Waddell had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"I try to take on every game as if it is the most important of the season, so I don't feel like anything's different now," Waddell said after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark at Billings in Billings.
