Billings West HS Takes 3-2 Lead in Round 2
In a pivotal Game 5, the Billings West HS Lookouts were hoping for a big game from starter Ken Pruitt. They got one.

The right-hander shut out the Tumwater HS Thunderhawks, proving to be the difference-maker as he led his club to a 4-0 victory. The Lookouts took the 4-0 win over the Tumwater HS Thunderhawks to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Tied up with the Thunderhawks in the top of the fourth inning, the Lookouts got a boost from third baseman Mauro Ramos. With the bases empty, Ramos saw a 2-1 fastball from Cory Holt and hit a solo home run to break the stalemate and put Billings West HS on top, 1-0.

Ramos told a Billings West HS Herald reporter that the win made him feel "invigorated."

The next game is set to be played for Monday, May 12th , 2042 at Ballpark at Billings in Billings.
