6-3 Ligers Win Evens Series With Panthers
The Blanchard HS Ligers and the DeSoto Central HS Panthers will take the Round 2 to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Ligers beat the Panthers, 6-3, at DeSoto Central Grounds to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Blanchard HS catcher Mitch Pressley went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2.

Pressley had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the seventh, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Ligers went on to win.

"The rain was definitely not preferable," Pressley said. "It worked out fine I guess, but we'll be happy if we see the sun next time."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at DeSoto Central Grounds in Southaven.
