Blanchard HS Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2
The Blanchard HS Ligers have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading DeSoto Central HS Panthers, winning, 5-1, at Ligers Ballpark. Ligers catcher Mitch Pressley went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. The win cuts the deficit facing the Ligers to 3-2 in the best-of-7 Round 2.

Andy Carpenter was vital to the Blanchard HS win. He went 1-4. In the bottom of the fourth with one out, Carpenter hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Ligers.

"Winning never gets old," said Pressley.

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, May 11th , 2042 at DeSoto Central Grounds in Southaven.
