With third baseman Mark Patterson leading the charge, the Houston Shastas got a road win over the Ohio State Scarlet Brutes, 9-2, in Game 4 of the Regionals. Patterson went 3-4 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch at Ballpark of Ohio State to help Houston take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Houston used the timely hitting of Ben Gibson to capture the win. The catcher socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Shastas ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Mark has some easy pop," said Houston manager Yosuke Nakagawa. "He's dangerous."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Ohio State in Columbus.
