Scarlet Brutes Win to Tie Series with Shastas
|
The Ohio State Scarlet Brutes defeated the Houston Shastas, 2-0, in Game 2 of the Regionals. Doing his part was starter Ricardo Sandoval, who threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. The win moves Ohio State into a 1-1 tie with Houston in the series.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Lorenzo Achaval? The Ohio State right fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Scarlet Brutes on top, 2-0. For the game, Achaval had 2 doubles and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Achaval.
The next game is set to be played for Thursday, May 8th , 2042 at Ballpark of Ohio State in Columbus.
