Rhys Crosse said his Eton Rifles simply weren't ready for the season to come to an end.

"We told ourselves we were winning this series no matter what," he said, shortly after being named the Round 1 MVP, following a 3-2 win at Rifles Ballpark that officially eliminated the Strathcona HS Leopards, 4-2.

Crosse said his team is "confident and ready" for the Round 2.

The Eton Rifles don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the San Felipe HS Spaniards - Gonaives HS Revolution series. Gonaives HS leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
