Potter Excels, Dedado HS Wins Round 2 Game 1
The Round 2 got off to a quiet start, with the host Dedado HS Marines taking a low-scoring, 2-1 win over the Taitung HS Hermits. Dedado HS left-hander Frank Potter was marvelous at Marines Ballpark. The Marines now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Geoffrey Cook came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Taitung HS pitcher En-lai Pao, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Dedado HS on top, 2-1.

"Frank had himself a pretty good evening," said Dedado HS manager Don Fisher.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Marines Ballpark in Dededo.
