The Dunedin HS Scots took time to celebrate with the Dunedin HS fans who stuck around after the game, following the team's Round 1 triumph over the Jakarta HS Komodo Dragons.

Members of the Scots hung around chatting, high-fiving and taking pictures with the Dunedin HS fans in attendance at Jakarta Stadium, long after the last pitch had been thrown in their 5-1 win to seal the series 4-1.

"We've got great fan support," said first baseman Timothy Abbey. "Whether we're at home or on the road, the fans support us. So we wanted to show them how important that is to us. Some Jakarta HS fans that were there even congratulated us on the win."

For the series, Abbey hit .524 with a .545 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 5 runs.

Things weren't so cordial on the Komodo Dragons side of things. Their clubhouse was closed to media after the game and all players and coaches quickly dressed and left the stadium after the end to their season.

The Dunedin HS Scots don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Yeosu HS Porpoises - Andong HS Folk Warriors series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
