Lakewood HS Hands Wilson Classical HS 2-0 Loss
|
The Lakewood HS Lancers got a strong performance from pitcher Chris Jackson, who stymied the Wilson Classical HS offense en route to a 2-0 win in Game 2 of the Round 1. The Bruins could never get a bead on the right-handed Jackson, who threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The Lancers now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
Robert Robinson helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring triple. It came in the first inning, making the score 1-0, Lancers.
"The object of the game is to score more runs than they do," said Robinson. "Mission accomplished."
The next game is set to be played for Monday, April 28th , 2042 at Bruins Ballpark in Long Beach.
