The De La Salle HS Myrmidon have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Tumwater HS Thunderhawks, winning, 7-2, at Myrmidon Ballpark. Myrmidon left-hander José Alejo threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Myrmidon to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Round 1.

Brendon Milligan helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run double. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Myrmidon.

"We did a lot of things right," said Alejo.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Myrmidon Ballpark in Concord.
