Claymores Cut Down Leones, 4-1

The Scottish Claymores went home winners at The Castle, thanks in large part to starter Kenny Boone. Boone stifled the Havana Leones, enabling Scottish to grab the 4-1 win. Keiji Honda was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 6 save opportunities. Today's win puts Scottish at 69-49, while Havana falls to 53-66.
Júlio Luna, who is tied for 6th in the IL with a .370 on-base percentage, chipped in a 2-run home run for Scottish in the bottom of the first. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Scottish skipper Germán Hernández.
