Wahoos Win, Saldaña slugs 2 home runs
|
Led by Raúl Saldaña, the Aruba Wahoos downed the Montserrat Mystique, 5-1. Saldaña was 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Wahoos. With the win, the Wahoos have a record of 36-36.
With Aruba leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Saldaña hit a fastball from Luis González for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Wahoos ahead, 3-0.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Montserrat manager Miguel Angel Gálvez. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
