The Mamajuanas grabbed a win, 8-3, at Safeway Grounds, overcoming a fine effort from Montserrat pitcher Nathan Claridge. Claridge went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Punta Cana reliever Salah al Din bin Rahman got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Fernando Targuín was tagged with the loss. The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Patrick Logan came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Montserrat pitcher Fernando Targuín, he hit a 2-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Punta Cana on top, 4-3.
