Multi-HR Game for Acheson in 12-5 Win
The Canuck HS Battlecats topped the Nassau HS Coasters by a score of 12-5. Leading the way was first baseman Steven Acheson. Acheson went 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Battlecats. Charlie Smart earned the win to go to 4-2. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits, with 4 walks and 1 strikeout in 5 innings of work. The Battlecats lead the Atlantic Conference Canadian Division by 7 games.

George Kerr had a big 3-run home run for the Battlecats in the bottom of the second inning. With Canuck HS leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Louie Haddow and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Battlecats ahead, 4-0.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Kerr told a Canuck HS Daily News reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
