Coasters Chop Down Hounds, 8-2
|
Nassau HS first baseman Reece Storer contributed significantly to his team's 8-2 win over the Point Grey HS Hounds. Storer, who is tied for 8th in the AC in total bases with 99, went 2 for 5 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Coasters. The Coasters, at 20-23, sit in 6th place in the Atlantic Conference Caribbean Division.
The Coasters benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the fifth. With Samuel Usher at bat and Nassau HS leading 3-2, the Point Grey HS miscue allowed Nassau HS to plate 1 and take the lead, 4-2.
"The most important thing is that we won," Storer said.
