The Hunting Hills HS Stags could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Liam Tite into a win. Instead, the Hildegard Saints prevailed, 9-5. Tite threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win went to Ludwig Brem in relief, making him now 1-0. Fritz Doran took the loss for Hunting Hills HS. Rainer Aarnoutse was called on to finish, recording his 15th save.
Hildegard took the lead, 6-5, on Manfried Gersten's 5th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Hunting Hills HS pitcher Fritz Doran in the bottom of the eighth.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Gersten told the Hildegard Chronicle.
Hildegard bumps their record to 24-21 with the win.
