The home crowd had a good time watching the Nassau HS Coasters and Hunting Hills HS Stags get after it.
With Robert Gordon leading the charge, the Hunting Hills HS Stags defeated the Nassau HS Coasters, 5-2. Gordon was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Stags. Carlos Gómez picked up the save, his 7th.
The Stags got a big at-bat from right fielder Jason MacClachlan. For the game, MacClachlan went 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Hunting Hills HS a 1-0 lead.
MacClachlan attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
The 6th-place Stags bumped their record to 15-26.
