Linguists Score Late to Beat Rifles, 4-3
|
Ellis Storr did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Eton Rifles from being beaten, 4-3, to the Lycee Fenelon Linguists at Linguists Stadium. Storr went 2 for 6 with a home run and 3 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Linguists are now 24-17, while the Rifles fall to 24-17.
The Linguists got a clutch hit from right fielder Luis Arnould. In the bottom of the 19th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Linguists.
Arnould said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
