Hounds Take Home 3-2 Win Over South Kamloops HS
|
Jason Green was a major contributor to the 3-2 Point Grey HS win over South Kamloops HS. The Hounds shortstop was 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2. Brian Peacock picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Brooks McIver was tagged with the loss. The save was credited to Jack Meadows, his 9th.
Point Grey HS took a 3-2 lead on Gui-fei Wang's 4th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Wang hit in the bottom of the eighth, left South Kamloops HS pitcher Steve Hampton visibly frustrated.
"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Hounds manager José Díaz.
The Hounds go to 13-19 with the win.
