Despite a great performance by Point Grey HS shortstop Jason Green, the Island HS Wonders defeated the Hounds by the score of 5-3 at Wonders Ballpark. Green went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. The Wonders are now 15-8, while the Hounds fall to 10-13.

Ernie Robertson took Point Grey HS hurler Ed Taylor deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Wonders on top, 4-2. In all, Robertson had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Robertson told the Island HS Gazette. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
