Marsland Powers Rifles to 12-3 Win
The Eton Rifles had no problem beating the Point Grey HS Hounds, 12-3, at Ballpark of Vancouver. Shane Marsland, who is tied for 9th in the AC in doubles with 7, led the onslaught. He was 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for Eton. The winning pitcher was 16-year old left-handed pitcher Brad Rossell. He tossed 77 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. With the win, Eton goes to 9-12, while the Hounds fall to 10-11.

With Eton leading 5-0 in the top of the fifth, Marsland came up to bat against Point Grey HS pitcher Jake O'Brien. Marsland hit a fastball to center for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Rifles on top, 9-0.

"We hit the ball hard," said Eton manager Tom Barkley. "Line drive after line drive."
