|
Ryo Takahashi, who led the SL in on-base percentage with .409 in 2037, knocked in 3 runs to help the Shin Seiki Evas win, 7-5, over the Neo-Tokyo Akira. Lee Barraclough picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 11-10. John Sharp recorded his 32nd save for Shin Seiki.
The Evas got a big at-bat from third baseman Pepe Padino. For the game, Padino was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Shin Seiki a 6-4 lead.
