Stallions Run Win Streak to 6
|
Immaculata HS designated hitter Ronald Jordan played a vital role in his team's 7-5 conquest of Collegio San Carlo. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for Immaculata HS. Phil Simms, now 2-0, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 0. Dan Gilberds finished to wrap up his 3rd save.
The Stallions got a big at-bat from third baseman Harley Matson. For the game, Matson went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Immaculata HS a 1-0 lead.
"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Nobuhito Sugiyama, the Collegio San Carlo manager.
The Kings, now 7-11, have lost 5 in a row.
