CD Zaragoza Grounds was the site for Atlantic Conference action featuring the Club Deportiva Zaragoza Toros and South Kamloops HS Colossus.
Led by Jesús Medina, the South Kamloops HS Colossus defeated the Club Deportiva Zaragoza Toros, 14-3. Medina belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for the Colossus. The winning pitcher was Jim Turner. He's now 1-1. He went 5.1 innings, allowing no runs on 2 hits for the Colossus.
South Kamloops HS used the bat of Kenzie MacDonald to get the win. The second baseman spanked a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Colossus ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it altered the outcome.
Said losing manager Roger MacDrain: "They kicked the stuffing out of us."
South Kamloops HS occupies second place in the Atlantic Conference Canadian Division at 9-7.
