The Reno Zephyrs picked up a win at The Oaks at Aera Field, knocking off the Bakersfield Bears, 10-1. Starting pitcher Carmelo Lamberti played a key role in the triumph. The Zephyrs go to 57-58, putting them 4th in the Sovereign League Desert Hills.

It was a masterful performance from the popular Lamberti, who notched 5 strikeouts in 8.1 innings while allowing 2 hits. Lamberti, who is tied for 8th in the SL in quality starts with 15, goes to 9-8 on the year with 106 strikeouts.

"I was talking to myself on the mound, saying 'attack, attack, attack, stay convicted, no matter what,'" said Lamberti.
