Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Geckos
The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.

The Aix-Marseille Universite Geckos downed the Cambridge Light Blues, 9-7, in 13 innings. Mehmet Perez led the way, going 2-for-6 for Aix-Marseille Universite. Aix-Marseille Universite pitcher Gérard Léonard earned the win, hiking his record to 3-1. Jude Sunter suffered the loss.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jean-Pierre Texier in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a 2-run home run off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Jude Sunter to win the game for Aix-Marseille Universite. The home crowd went nuts.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Geckos manager Jason Ward. "This one was nice to get."

The win has Aix-Marseille Universite at 21-32.
