Physicists Handle Mules, Nab 3-1 Win
|
The ETH Zurich Physicists defeated the Instituto Politecnico Nacional Mules, 3-1, in part because of center fielder Jacques Orlando. Orlando was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles for the Physicists. The win was credited to Wilfred Mohr in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Ricardo Prieto took the loss. The Physicists move to 29-22 with the win, while the Mules drop to 22-29.
Mario Puente could have done some damage in the top of the fourth. With Instituto Politecnico Nacional trailing 2-0, the Mules had runners on 1st and 2nd. But Puente hit into a double play.
