Black Bears Beat Light Blues, 5-0
|
The Chatham-Kent Canada Black Bears beat the Cambridge Light Blues, 5-0, at Black Bear Ballpark. Joseph Oulton, who is the top prospect in the Black Bears organization, starred for Chatham-Kent Canada. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Ernesto Díaz closed it out for his 1st save. The Black Bears now have a mark of 28-16.
With Chatham-Kent Canada leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Oulton came up to bat against Cambridge pitcher Ethan Charnock. Oulton hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Black Bears on top, 4-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Oulton said.
