Despite a great performance by Billings West HS shortstop Trent Hicks, the Tumwater HS Thunderhawks defeated the Lookouts by the score of 6-5 at Ballpark at Billings. Hicks went 2-3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The defeat makes Billings West HS 30-16.
Tumwater HS used the stroke of Harvey Sánchez to get the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Thunderhawks ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it did its damage.
Sánchez attributed the triumph to "a good team effort."
