Skeeters Get One-Run Win at Chatsworth HS
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Yerington HS Skeeters and Chatsworth HS Chancellors.

The Yerington HS Skeeters topped the Chatsworth HS Chancellors, 2-1, in Western League action at Ballpark of Chatsworth HS. The game was highlighted by the performance of Yerington HS pitcher Glenn Lee. The Skeeters improved their record to 20-21 by beating Chatsworth HS.

Yerington HS used the clutch hitting of Tim Powers to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Skeeters ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.

"Sometimes a win comes easy," Powers told the Yerington HS Times. "And sometimes you have to scratch and claw."
