Chatfield HS Absorbs 5-3 Loss to Horizon HS
|
At Horizon HS Grounds, the Chatfield HS Mustangs and Horizon HS Huskies were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Horizon HS right fielder John Neely had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Chatfield HS Mustangs, 5-3. Scott Matthews, who is tied for 8th in the WL in quality starts with 3, was the winner. He's now 3-0. The loser was Terry Snow.
Mitchell Cameron, who is tied for 3rd in the WL with a .446 on-base percentage, came through for Horizon HS with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. The shortstop went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 2 runs batted in.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Cameron.
The 5th-place Huskies are now 18-21, the Mustangs 22-17.
