Reds Take Tight Tilt, 1-0

The Reds faced a stiff challenge from Castle HS pitcher Lee Meyer, but persevered to claim a win at Field of the Lords. The final score was 1-0. Meyer went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs. James Miller finished the game for Mankato West HS and earned his 8th save. The first-place Reds now sit at 20-15.
Werner Lloyd delivered a big hit for Mankato West HS. The first baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Reds ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Lloyd said after the game.
