Lancers Come Back Late to Top Matadors, 5-4
Bubba Bowman did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Boone HS Matadors from being beaten, 5-4, to the Lakewood HS Lancers at Boone Ballpark. Bowman was 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Earning his 5th save for Lakewood HS was Mike Jones. The loss makes Boone HS 15-19.

Lakewood HS designated hitter Michael Ramsey contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 46th hit of the season and put the Lancers ahead, 4-3.

"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Ramsey told the Lakewood HS Gazette.
