Big Day for Neely as Huskies Down Surge, 9-6
Horizon HS right fielder John Neely made his presence felt in the 9-6 Huskies triumph over the Bellevue West HS Surge. Neely slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Alberto Vélez snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-0 on the season. Christian Hansen suffered the loss. The 5th-place Huskies go to 17-17.

Horizon HS used the clutch hitting of Aaron Wallace to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Huskies the lead, 7-6. For the game, Wallace had 1 single and 1 double in 2 at-bats.

"It was a solid team effort," Neely said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
