The Billings West HS Lookouts got a superb performance from designated hitter Glenn Taylor, but the Horizon HS Huskies still won the game, 4-3. Taylor went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winner in relief was Ben James. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. The save went to Chris Davis, number 11 for him.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Walt Kaiser came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Billings West HS pitcher Gerald Reyes, he hit a 2-2 cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Horizon HS on top, 4-3.

"We did enough to win," said Kaiser.

At 16-15, the Huskies are currently 5th in the Western League Pacific Conference.
